Skybe, is an application created in August 2003 by Dane Janus Friis and Niklas Zennström, Skybe Allows the users to make video calls and voice calls and texting , uses and send files and images as well, Available in most of softwares and in 38 language including Arabic, However since May 2012 Skybe entirely powered by Microsoft.

Snapchat

Do you know what Snapchat is ? It's an application created  by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown for video and photo messaging, using it you can take pictures and videos and add text or drawing or both and send them, these sent photos and videos that users send know as " Snaps " , the users also can set time limit for the snap between 1-10 seconds, in may, 2014 the app users were sending 700 million snap per day.

Instagram only supports iOS and Android and windows phone 8.

On April 12, 2012 Facebook acquired Instagram for 1 billion US dollars, Now Instagram is one of the most popular applications in the world.

What'sApp is an app for texting on smartphones, it needs Internet to send a text massege, image, or even a video, at September of 2015 WhatsApp had a user base of up to 900 million, making it the most globally popular communication application.

On February 9, 2014 Facebook announced it was acquiring WhatsApp for 19 billion dollars.
